Revenue Opportunities
Primary goals of the Association are to grow the revenue and reduce the cost of film production for the members. In this respect, TFAPA shall work on specific business areas listed below.
Revenue for a film can be obtained from the following rights:
- Music
- Digital rights (OTT and other related rights)
- Overseas rights
- Satellite rights
- Doordarshan rights
- Cable TV rights
- Tamil Nadu Theatrical rights
- Kerala Theatrical rights
- Karnataka Theatrical rights
- North India Theatrical rights
- Hindi dubbing rights
- Other language dubbing rights (Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam)
- Remake rights (for original films)
- In-film brand promotion rights
- Share in Online ticketing and In-theatre advertisement
- Subsidy/Grant for shooting in foreign locations
- Any other future rights emanating from a film
TFAPA shall collectively work with the members of the Association in working out strategies to enhance the revenues from each of the above rights, to ensure every film is exploited well to benefit its members.
